Will typning or writing my notes out help me remember what I learned better?

Alot of people rewrite their notes to study, or outline the chapter by hand. That usually works for me too, but i’m a faster typer. Do you think outlining the chapter on my computer and retyping my notes will have the same effect, or should I just stick with writing everything out? as in if i type vs write will i still be able to recall the information as well?
