How to find Santa Clara commerical real estate attorney
Saturday, May 29th, 2010Prior to buying my first home I thought the process was as simple as a buy and a sale . Boy… was I wrong. Buying or selling a home or a commercial building is a much more complex process than I ever could have imagined. Initially I thought all that I needed was a big chunk of money and a real estate agent. That couldn’t have been any farther from the truth. As I soon discovered , some states actually require that you have an attorney when buying or selling a home or commerical property. Who woulda thought? Certain states require that an attorney write up the purchase agreement and title search. Why else would one need a Real Estate Attorney ? Attorneys possess a certain level of knowledge … a certain level of knowledge … that can be very useful when big decisions are involved. Even if your state does not require that a real estate lawyer be involved with the transaction, that doesn’t mean you don’t need one. If you are a first time buyer of a home or commercial building and you are not familiar with the process, buying any building can be quite a pain. stack of paper including agreements, mortages, and contracts can be a hindrance. If you become frustrated and helpless , it might be time to hire a real estate attorney. Beware, however, of the attorney that will try to take advantage of your lack of knowledge.
OK, so where do you start your search for a residential or commercial real estate attorney? First, start close to home.
